We at Star of the Sea Catholic Primary School, value the teachings of Jesus
Kids are naturally curious about the world around them. At Star of the Sea Catholic Primary School when students come to Science they are guided and encouraged to be curious and to ask questions regarding their curiosity. Students have many opportunities to pose questions, hypothesize, experiment and record data through hands on activities. Each term of the year there is a focus on one of the four Science strands: Biological Sciences, Physical Sciences, Chemical Sciences and Earth and Space Sciences.
Students learn science as a specialist learning area in a purpose-built science room/lab. In addition to the learning of knowledge across the four strands, students are also able to apply their learning through scientific inquiry and integrate their studies in the School Garden Centre.
